Local area
Westward enjoys a truly unique location, just a short stroll from the transforming Fort Regent, the Havre de Pas lido, and an excellent choice of restaurants, cafés and bars. The Jersey Rowing Club and St Helier Yacht Club are also nearby.
Nestled close to beautifully maintained parks, this often-overlooked corner of the Island offers striking, uninterrupted views across to Elizabeth Castle and beyond.

A stone’s throw from St Helier’s town centre, a whole world away
Perfectly positioned just ten minutes from the town centre and Havre de Pas, Westward combines convenience with coastal charm. With the addition of St Helier Yacht Club and the Jersey Rowing Club nearby, and the imminent regeneration of Fort Regent which will transform the Fort into a vibrant, all-weather leisure destination, Westward is the ideal setting to embrace a more balanced way of living.
With unparalleled views of Jersey’s maritime history at work, Westward offers an ever changing scenery as a backdrop to modern lifestyle, looking across the historic French Harbour, towards Elizabeth Castle and the headland at Noirmont. The area offers a sense of living history; the still in use French Harbour and South Pier were constructed in the 18th century, and is where T. B. Davis over-wintered his racing schooner Westward in the 1920s and 30s. This view has changed very little since.
Today, this busy harbour is filled with pleasure boats as well as the Jersey Rowing Club and St Helier Yacht Club, and combined with the commercial Albert Pier, offering an everchanging view to while away the hours.
Walk down to South Pier, and join the pedestrian and cycling route to the South that will take you towards La Collette, where fresh, local seafood can be bought from a number of small stalls throughout the year. Following the path, you will find yourself in the picturesque Havre des Pas, with a Victorian walk way taking you to the Lido. This beautiful seaside area has a number of restaurants and bars away from town for an alternative night out.
The beach at Harve des Pas offers golden sand and rockpools when the tide is out. You can walk for miles along the beach, right round to Green Island and the east coast, with regular buses on the route to take you back towards town or onwards to Gorey.
Or alternatively, follow the path towards town and join up with the cycle path that will take the adventurous all the way to La Corbiere.
