About JDC
Westward is delivered by Jersey Development Company (JDC) – the Government of Jersey’s regeneration arm. As the Government of Jersey’s delivery partner for major property development and regeneration projects, JDC plays a key role in shaping the Island’s built environment. Our remit includes completing the redevelopment of the St Helier Waterfront and leading the regeneration of surplus Government-owned assets.
We are also proud to have been appointed to oversee the transformation of Fort Regent – a landmark project that will help define the Island’s future.

The JDC team assisted us with FTB deposit payment scheme to spread the deposit that was interest free over 20 months. This scheme helped us immensely to secure our first home easily by giving us so much flexibility around the payment scheme without requiring us to pay the deposit upon signing the contract. The location of the development is also very ideal for us as our workplace and my young toddler’s nursery are both within a few minutes walk and its central location also means everything in town is so accessible. "We first dealt with JDC when we purchased a 2 bed, 2 bath apartment at College Gardens, La Pouquelaye, St Helier. Having decided to “downsize” in 2017 and liked the idea of a brand new Apartment with fittings. We moved into College Gardens in 2019 and were delighted with the layout of the apartment and the beautiful grounds surrounding the old Girls College. We had 4 happy years there, but when Horizon was advertised, we decided that the Horizon apartments and location was definitely the location for us.
Having dealt with JDC staff, predominantly Lisa Buckley, it was not a difficult decision to move forward with the Horizon complex. We moved into Horizon West in 2023, albeit later than expected, but was worth the wait.
The Apartment and location are excellent, everything you could wish for and any issues we had has been dealt with efficiently. The sales staff are extremely knowledgeable in every aspect of living at Horizon and we would not hesitate to recommend them."
